The processing takes about 30 seconds, so it works but don't just click print and think you are going to walk over and pick up your document. What happens here is that when you print to the PDFCreator, the program process the file, prints it to a PDF and saves it in a folder on the XP machine, then the PDFCreator PROGRAM prints the PDF file 'PDF Creator' to the laserjet 1000. So I print to PDFCreator on \\xpdestop\PDFCreator from the windows 10 computer. Then you download and install PDFCreator which is free. The only way I was able to still use my HP Laserjet 1000 is to setup an old xp computer with the laserjet 1000 installed.
